Allowed file types
For safety, AcquisitionSuite only accepts a fixed list of file types for upload. Anything else is rejected with an “invalid file type” message.

Need another format?
Put it inside a ZIP, or host it elsewhere and gate the link as a URL-gated file. External URLs are not restricted by file type, because the file never touches your server.
Upload size
The maximum upload size comes from your PHP configuration (upload_max_filesize and post_max_size), not from the plugin. System Status displays both values. Ask your host to raise them if uploads fail, or use an external URL for big files.
Why uploads sometimes fail
- The file is larger than the PHP limits above
- The extension is not in the list
- The protected folder is not writable, which System Status flags
