Field types

The custom form builder supports the standard field types most lead capture forms need: single-line text, email (with format validation), dropdown/select, checkbox, and hidden fields for passing fixed values like a source tag.

Choosing field types

Use text for names, companies, or short free-text answers. Use email for the address you’ll actually deliver files and follow-up sequences to; it’s validated automatically. Use dropdown when you want structured answers you can later filter or score on (for example, company size or role). Use hidden fields to tag submissions by page or campaign without showing anything to the visitor.

Required vs optional

Mark a field required if a missing answer should block submission. Keep optional fields to a minimum: every additional required field reduces how many visitors complete the form.
