Defaults and currency

The Defaults section of Payment Settings (Pro) saves you retyping the same values for every paid file.

Currency

Choose one Currency for the whole plugin. It is the default for new paid files and the currency used to show revenue on the Dashboard and Analytics. Pick the currency your gateway account settles in. Stripe supports many currencies; Paystack and Flutterwave support the currencies of the markets they serve, so check your gateway’s list.

Default download expiry

Default Download Expiry (hours) applies to any paid file that does not set its own. Enter 0 for links that never expire.

Default download limit

Default Download Limit is how many times a buyer can download a paid file. Enter 0 for unlimited.

Default button label

Default Button Label is the purchase button text for paid files that do not set their own.

Notifications

• Admin Sale Notification Email: where to send a message for every sale
• Contact Email: shown to buyers who have a problem (defaults to your admin email)

Per-file overrides

Each paid file can override expiry, limit and button label, so you can treat a premium course differently from a cheap template. See Paid downloads.

Changing currency later

Existing orders keep the currency they were paid in. Changing the default affects new files and how revenue is summarised, so avoid switching back and forth once you have sales.
