Form display styles

A standalone form (one with no file attached) can appear in several ways. Choose the style in the form’s Settings tab under Display Style, or override it per placement with the shortcode’s display attribute.

The styles

Style How it behaves Plan
Embedded The form is printed inline in the page content, with a submit button under the fields. Lite and Pro
Popup Modal A button opens the form in an overlay window. Lite and Pro
Floating Button A button pinned to the edge of the screen that opens the form from any page. Pro

Setting it on the form

  1. Open Form Builder and edit a form whose Purpose is Standalone Form.
  2. In Settings, pick a Display Style.
  3. Set a Button Label for the popup or floating trigger (blank uses the form name).
  4. Save, then place the form with [acquis_form id="3"] or the block.

Overriding per placement

Add display="embedded" or display="popup" to the shortcode, for example [acquis_form id="3" display="popup"]. Pro also accepts floating. Leave the attribute out to use what is configured on the form.

Gated-file forms

A form that gates a file always opens as a popup from the download button; display styles apply to standalone forms.

Which style should I use?

  • Embedded for dedicated pages such as booking or registration, where the form is the point of the page.
  • Popup Modal for calls to action inside content, so the form does not take up space until wanted.
  • Floating Button for a persistent “Book a call” or “Get the guide” prompt on every page.
