Form not showing
You added a shortcode or block but nothing appears, or you see plain text. Work through these checks in order.
1. You see the shortcode as text
- You pasted it into a place that does not process shortcodes (a heading, a button link field, some theme text areas). Use a paragraph, a Shortcode block, or a Shortcode widget.
- You typed curly “smart” quotes. Shortcodes need straight quotes:
id="123". - It is inside a code block or preformatted block, which shows it literally.
2. You see “[AcquisitionSuite] File not found.”
The id does not match an existing file. The file may have been deleted, or you copied the ID from another site. Copy the shortcode again from Upload Files.
3. Nothing at all appears
- For
[acquis_form], confirm the form’s Purpose is Standalone Form. A form that gates a file is used through[acquis_download]. - Check the form ID exists in the Form Builder.
- Confirm Lite is active. Pro-only display styles (Floating Button) need Pro active and licensed.
- Clear your page cache and any CDN cache. See Caching and CDNs.
4. It appears in the editor but not on the site
Publish or update the page, then view it in a private window. A caching plugin often serves the old version to logged-out visitors.
5. A theme or plugin conflict
Temporarily switch to a default theme, or deactivate other plugins one at a time, to find a conflict. A JavaScript error from another plugin can also stop the popup from working; see Popup not opening.
Still stuck?
Send support the page URL, the shortcode you used, and a screenshot of System Status. See System Status.
