Email not sending
If leads or buyers aren’t receiving emails, work through these in order.
1. Check Email Logs
Go to Smart LeadLock → Email Logs first. Every send attempt is recorded here with its status. If it shows as sent but the recipient never got it, the issue is likely downstream (spam filtering); if it shows as failed, the error message usually points directly at the cause.
2. Check System Status for an SMTP plugin
The single most common cause of missing emails is having no SMTP plugin installed. WordPress’s default mail sending is unreliable on most hosts. Go to System Status to confirm whether one is active, and install one (WP Mail SMTP is a solid free option) if not.
3. Confirm your from address is valid
Under Settings → Email, make sure your from address uses a domain you actually control. Many providers silently reject or spam-flag mail sent “from” a domain that doesn’t match your sending infrastructure.
