Popup not opening
The button shows, but clicking it does nothing, or the form opens and will not submit.
1. Look for a JavaScript error
Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and reload the page. In the Console, a red error from another plugin or your theme can stop all scripts after it, including AcquisitionSuite’s. Find which plugin or file is named and disable it as a test.
2. Script optimization and caching
Minify, combine, defer and “delay JavaScript” options in optimization plugins are the most common cause. In your optimization or caching plugin:
- Exclude AcquisitionSuite’s scripts from combining, deferring and delay-until-interaction.
- Clear all caches afterwards, including the CDN.
3. The form opens but will not submit
- Required fields must be filled in; a required checkbox or radio group needs one option selected.
- You may have hit the rate limit (5 submissions per 10 minutes per IP). Wait and try again. See Spam protection.
- A cached page can serve an out-of-date security token. Exclude the page from caching or purge it.
4. Popup appears behind other content
Some themes and builders create stacking contexts that hide overlays. Try placing the shortcode outside sticky headers, sliders or transformed containers.
5. Several popups on one page
You can place more than one shortcode on a page. If the wrong form opens, check each shortcode’s id.
6. Test on a clean setup
Switch to a default theme and deactivate other plugins temporarily. If the popup works, re-enable them one at a time.
