Field mapping
AcquisitionSuite needs to know which of your form’s fields hold the lead’s name and email, because those identify the lead, feed your email tools, and fill the {full_name} and {email} placeholders.
Where to set it
In the Form Builder, open the form’s Settings tab and find Field Mapping. Choose the Name Field and the Email Field from the form’s own fields. The default is auto-detect, which works for most forms that use a standard email field and a field labelled name.
When to change it
- Your form has separate first-name and last-name fields
- Your name field has an unusual label such as “Who should we address?”
- You have more than one email field (for example work and personal)
What the mapping powers
- The lead record shown under Leads
- Emails to the lead, addressed by
{full_name} - Syncing to Mailchimp, Brevo and MailWizz
- Duplicate detection: a returning email updates the existing lead instead of creating a new one
Custom fields
Every other field is stored with the submission and shows under Submissions and in the lead’s detail view. MailWizz also supports mapping fields to list custom-field tags. See MailWizz setup.
