Data retention
AcquisitionSuite cleans up old records automatically so your database does not grow forever. You control how long each kind of record is kept under Settings → Data Retention.
How it works
A daily background task deletes records older than the number of days you set. Enter 0 to keep a kind of record forever.
| Record | Default | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Email logs (sent and failed) | 30 days | Lite and Pro |
| Completed and failed sequence enrollments | 7 days | Pro |
| Paid orders | 0 (keep forever) | Pro |
| Transaction records | 0 (keep forever) | Pro |
What is never cleaned automatically
Leads and submissions are never removed by retention settings. Delete them yourself when required, from Leads and Submissions.
Always-on housekeeping
Independent of these settings, expired and used download tokens are removed daily. See Download links and expiry.
Choosing values
- Keep email logs long enough to investigate a complaint, commonly 30 to 90 days.
- Keep orders and transactions for as long as your accounting and tax rules require.
- Shorter retention is easier to justify under privacy laws for data you no longer need.
Cron dependence
The clean-up runs from WordPress cron, so on a very quiet site it may run late. See Sequences not sending for cron tips.
