General
Is AcquisitionSuite really free?
Yes. The Lite plugin is free forever with no license key, and it is a complete lead capture and file gating system. Pro is an optional paid extension. See Lite vs Pro.
Do I need Lite to use Pro?
Yes. Pro is an extension that requires Lite to be installed and active.
Where is my data stored?
In your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent to us by Lite, and Pro only contacts our licensing server for license and update checks.
Does it work with my page builder?
Yes. Use the shortcode in any builder, the Gutenberg block, or (Pro) the Elementor widget or Bricks element. See Placing forms and files.
Files and downloads
Can visitors bypass the gate?
No. Files sit in a protected folder and are only served through single-use, expiring signed links. See Protected directory security.
How long do download links last?
You set it under Settings; the maximum is 7 days and a new install starts at 30 minutes. See Download links and expiry.
Can I gate a file hosted on Google Drive or Dropbox?
Yes, with an external URL. See URL-gated files.
What file types can I upload?
PDF, ZIP, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, MP4, MP3, JPG, JPEG and PNG. See Allowed file types.
Forms and leads
Can I use a form without a file?
Yes, with a standalone form. See Standalone forms.
Can I export my leads?
Yes, to CSV or Excel. See Exporting data.
How do I stop spam?
A honeypot and a rate limit are built in. See Spam protection.
Which email services does it integrate with?
Mailchimp, Brevo and MailWizz, with double opt-in for each. See Email integrations.
Why are my emails not arriving?
Usually because WordPress is sending through the server’s basic mail function. See SMTP setup and Email not sending.
Payments
Which payment gateways are supported?
Stripe, Paystack and Flutterwave (Pro). See Paid downloads.
Do you take a commission on my sales?
No. You only pay your gateway’s fees.
License and billing
What happens if my Pro license expires?
Your site keeps running on Lite features and no data is removed. See License expiry and renewal.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
